Located about four miles south of Fort Bragg, Caspar Headlands is part of the residential community of Caspar, which was once a bustling logging town. Caspar Beach is located across from the Caspar Beach RV park and store (a private park), beginning south of the creek extending to the Caspar Headlands Reserve on the south side.

Sinking Whole is a giant punch bowl in the earth with a pool of water at the bottom. There's a dirt trail that takes you to the sinkhole and it's advised to wear long pants (in case of poison oak). Because it is actively eroding the fence around the hole protects visitors from impending dangers.
